Alan Dursee is a BFA candidate in Illustration at Lesley University, currently living in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

His work spans from scientific illustrations to fine art, addressing a variety of topics he is passionate about.

The overarching topic Dursee deals with is equity and inclusion. In his medical illustrations, he strives to highlight those who are underrepresented in medical spaces- specifically women, people of colour, and queer people.

In his fine art work, he explores the relationship of figures and touch, and has been currently focusing on hands and the tension they bring. Dursee is also captivated by patterns, both floral and geometric. He finds the conversation between the two types to hold similar tension to the hands he depicts.

He has had work featured in multiple group shows, including New Hope Arts, New Hope, PA; Sophia Steph Gallery, Lambertville, NJ; Visual AIDS, New York, NY; Raizes Gallery at Lesley University, Cambridge, MA; and many more.

As he is completing his BFA, Dursee is also working as a scientific illustrator at Northeastern University in Boston, MA. In his free time, he enjoys biking, reading, and visiting museums and galleries.
